As an Associate QC Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to perform various scientific analyses to evaluate the quality of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods to ensure compliance with established standards, including conducting and validating various biological and chemical quality control (QC) assays. You will be compiling, interpreting, and documenting statistical data obtained from testing process and will verify to confirm compliance with established quality standards or identify any deviations. Additionally, the position entails organizing and ensuring that the appropriate value assignments, proficiency surveys and certification programs are scheduled, performed, and reported. Your responsibilities may include establishing specifications for conducting assays and writing standard operating procedures and you may train QC technologists and assist in the development of new QC methods and procedures.
To succeed in this role, you will have excellent organizing skills, time management skills and communication skills. You will be detailed-oriented and skilled at diagnostics test methods and interpreting results. The ideal candidate should possess post-secondary education in a related field with a minimum of 2 years of related experience, preferably in a clinical chemistry and quality control. Automated clinical chemistry analyzer experience would be an asset.
The anticipated base salary for this position is $58,000-68,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentives and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
