Sekisui Diagnostics is looking to appoint a Senior Calibration Technician (Instrument and Process Controls Engineer) within the Maintenance Department.

This role requires the candidate to have suitable experience as an Instrument and Process Controls Engineer, as you will be the Technical Lead within the Maintenance Team. You will process control issues that are generated from the Programmable Logic Control (PLC), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Human Machine Interface (HMI). You will carry out reliability and performance tests on equipment and makes adjustments required to adhere to government, industry, and organizational standards.  You will analyse results and may develop test specifications and electrical schematics. To be successful in this role, you will have a good understanding of computer systems validation and knowledge of Good Automated Manufacturing Practices (GAMP) requirements in support of validation tasks. You will participate in authoring detailed documentation Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), User Guides, Calibration Schedules for operation and maintenance of the manufacturing systems and utilities. You will work with the Maintenance Manager to ensure appropriate Planned Maintenance practices are in place for Programmable Logic Control (PLC), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems on site. You will complete calibration tasks as necessary to keep processes compliant. You will work with the site in performing as necessary Hazard & Operability (HAZOP) or Computer Hazard & Operability (CHAZOP) evaluations on plant.

The successful candidate will have education and / or experience in some or all of the following areas:

  • Experience in a GMP environment
  • Experience in Instrumentation and Process Control
  • Proficient on Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
  • Experience of using a CMMS to track and record works
  • Minimum 5 years’ related experience
