POINTE™ Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase (G6PD)

G6PD and an essential enzyme in human blood, which helps Red Blood Cells (RBCs) function. G6PD deficiency is the most common enzyme deficiency worldwide, causing a variety of health challenges, such as neonatal hyperbilirubinemia, acute hemolysis, and chronic hemolysis.

The POINTE™ G6PD assay, provided by SEKISUI Diagnostics, is a highly sensitive quantitative assay for the kinetic determination of G6PD in blood. It requires only a single, 5-minute lysing step and can be used on a broad range of clinical chemistry analyzers.
