We have a vacancy for a Shift Process Supervisor in the production GPF based at Sekisui Diagnostics, Maidstone, Kent.
Based in the manufacturing plant, this individual will divide their time between routine manufacturing and leading the shift. Weighting of these roles will be dependent on the manufacturing plan and will be assessed accordingly. The successful individual will lead the shift team in meeting the manufacturing plan in compliance with quality and HS&E. They will be required to manage shift personnel performance and development, supports departmental initiatives. Reports to the Process Senior Supervisor (GPF).
You will be responsible for organizing team workload to ensure Fermentation, Downstream and/or Chromatography activities meet Manufacturing plan and are being carried out in compliance with cGMP or ISO9001 standards and ISO 45001 standards. You will support Logistics and Management Team with the planning of the manufacturing schedule and inventory management. Whilst supporting the Management Team to ensure adequate resources are available to deliver products on time and in full to the agreed plan and in addition to this, support the Logistics and Management Team with inventory, ensure adequate resources are available to deliver products on time and in full to the agreed plan. You be required to manage and communicate events and problems during routine manufacturing and support GPF initiatives and management systems.
To be successful in this role, you will have ownership of the Manufacturing Area when shift is rostered on and ensure equipment is fully functional. Whilst working in collaboration with the Maintenance and Engineering team (via the EWR system) and Production Management to maintain the facility. You will support with Quality Assurance tasks by raising Deviations, Document Revisions and Incident Reports. Support Technical Operations with Manufacturing of CDMO product line and, when appropriate, suggests methods of improvements to ensure a smooth transition from R&D to Production. Assess shift and technician performance, identify development routes and provide development opportunities to ensure technician’s progress. You will manage welfare, motivation, and morale of shift and attend meetings and training and represent department across the business where appropriate. You will support Continuous Improvement activities throughout the facility by encouraging and leading team to raise Kaizen projects.
To work at Sekisui Diagnostics, we require 5 years of experience in manufacturing facility and a minimum of 2 years experience in a team leadership role. In addition to this, you will have proven Leadership Skills, strong written and verbal communication skills and be keen to challenge and develop yourself and those around you. ISO9001, ISO 45001 (HS&E) and/or ISO14001 (Environment) experience would be beneficial.
