At SEKISUI Diagnostics, a leader in invitro diagnostics, we help improve patient outcomes by doing what we’ve always done – focusing on innovating and developing highly accurate diagnostics tests, reagents and systems.  We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Manager, R&D within the Molecular Diagnostics space to lead a team of talented scientists in the development of devices to improve healthcare. 

About you: 

You are motivated by challenge and lead teams by promoting a high-performance, results-driven environment. You are adept at assessing the scope and overseeing complex research projects to ensure they are on time and in budget; and can analyze results and provide recommendations using sound judgment.  You are an effective communicator both orally and in writing and collaborate respectfully with others across the company in order to develop new molecular products.  You have experience attracting, developing, and retaining talent to achieve the companies short-term and long-term objectives.  

To be successful in this role you will: 

  • Have a proven track record in developing IVD products, with a specialization in molecular assays and systems and experience with FDA correspondence, pre-submissions, and submissions particularly in a CLIA Waived environment 
  • Possess a strong working knowledge of a broad field of disciplines with expert knowledge in Molecular Diagnostics and/or regulatory and clinical guidelines for conducting controlled studies  
  • Demonstrate your experience working on problems that require significant technical creativity and/or novel approaches to solve complex problems  
  • Have experience interacting with executives and/or major customers to which might include negotiations with customers or management, and influencing at all levels of the organization on matters of significance to the organization  
  • Interface with multi-disciplinary teams consisting of engineering, manufacturing, and clinical to develop and validate novel molecular assays. 
  • Mentor and guide junior scientists on the team, fostering a collaborative learning environment

 The anticipated base salary for this position is $145,000-165,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentives and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
