We are looking to appoint a Materials Handler to join the Logistics department on a full-time basis.
You:
You will be responsible for the physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distribution of material including cycle counting processes. Key functions include the receipt of goods against purchase orders, preparation and distribution of customer orders and the dispensing and distribution of materials to manufacturing areas.
Key aspects of the role will/may include:
- Receiving, labelling and the organized storage of materials
- Dispensing and distribution of job packs to the manufacturing areas and all support functions
- Dispensing and preparation of customer orders.
- Support the cycle count processes for raw materials, intermediates and final products.
- Assist the department with Deviation, CAPA and documentation updates.
- Review and monitor temperature data for critical assets and third-party logistics.
- Maintain Logistics areas to a high standard of cleanliness, demonstrating competency in the routine cleaning of equipment and dispensary areas as well as responsibility for general housekeeping and tidiness.
- Supports Risk/COSHH Assessments for Dispensing and Warehouse operations.
- Manual handling, including the physical movement of goods via mechanical handling equipment.
The successful candidate will have education and / or experience in some or all of the following areas:
- Understanding of ISO9001/cGMP quality requirements
- Previous experience within Warehousing/Shipping environment.
- Use of ERP systems including barcoding.
- Experience with Outlook, Excel, Word.
- Previous forklift and mechanical lifting equipment experience.
