We are looking to appoint a Logistics Specialist to join the Logistics department on a full time basis.

As part of a dedicated Supply Chain team that values outstanding customer service, you will be working with site personnel to implement Lean / Six Sigma goals and strategies for improving the operations and processes within the organization. This will include evaluating all continuous improvement activities for the area, collecting and analyzing data, driving root cause analyses and facilitating discussions to ensure complete resolution to achieve business objectives. A key aspect will be evolution and maintenance of Operations processes to comply with GMP requirements, so previous experience working in a biotechnology, GMP environment or pharmaceutical organisation will be useful.

Key aspects of the role will include:

  • Leads Logistics and Supply Chain problem-solving and root cause analysis, including out-of-specifications, quality deviations and CAPAs and complaints, making sound quality and EHS judgements
  • Develop and maintain Logistics and Supply Chain policies, work instructions, procedures, specifications, change control, risk assessments (including CoSHH) and other associated documentation
  • Liaises with suppliers, procures new equipment following company protocols, project manages aspects of commissioning, validation, change control and procedural updates.
  • Support associate development plans, quality procedures, work instructions, and safety practices through training and coaching in collaboration with line managers
  • Plans and coordinates Logistics and Supply Chain improvement and new product introduction projects, using data, experience and knowledge to optimise end to end Logistics processes.
  • Support development of departmental goals and objectives in line with site goals
  • Manage and track assigned Logistics and Supply Chain KPIs, recording actions and mitigation to impact performance,
  • Demonstrate commitment to the development, implementation and effectiveness of Sekisui Diagnostics’ Quality Management System per MHRA, FDA, ISO and other regulatory agencies or standards
  • Support Environmental Management System (EMS) activities and compliance per ISO14001

The successful candidate will have education and / or experience in some, or all, of the following areas:

  • Good knowledge of GMP/GDP to implement and maintain best practices in a Logistics environment
  • Continuous improvement methodologies including 6S, Kaizen, LEAN/Six Sigma
  • Strong analytical and organisation skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills required (Word, Excel, Power Point and ERP systems)
  • Ability to meet commitment dates, be detailed oriented and multi-task,
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Must be a team player who values diversity, is a good listener and professional role model
  • Demonstrated experience training individuals
